I’ve been working with Michael for almost 2 years and have been amazed by what he’s done with me – in short, this guy’s worth his weight in gold and then some!
I came to Michael somewhat reluctantly on the advice of my doctor, who had been working with me on a long-term, lower back problem. I have a birth defect (an extra lumbar vertebra) that has resulted in a life-time of compounded structural imbalances that severely limited my range of motion and led to frequent bouts of excruciating pain. My doctor told me that since the problem was untreatable, my only hope was to ‘unlearn’ the coping mechanism my body had developed and to strengthen my musculature to help support my back.
I was hesitant to hit the gym for fear of making matters worse and knew if I did, that I would need an expert. I went through three other, highly recommended trainers during a long search before I found Michael and my only regret is that I didn’t find him sooner. Michael really took the time to understand my issue and within a short time had me on a gradual road to recovery. More importantly, he helped me better understand on own body – he literally straighten out a life-time of bad habits.
Although my back hasn’t been a problem for more than a year now, I’m still working with Michael because I was so impressed by the results I was getting. As I shifted my goals from back-stabilization to a more typical routine of strength training/body fat reduction, Michael remained as focused as ever on helping me achieve my objective – in fact, I can honestly say I’m in the best shape of my life and have more energy than I’ve had in years – not bad for someone who’s pushing 50!
Beyond getting better results than I hoped for, I’ve continued working with Michael because he’s simply a great guy to be with. He knows how to push me without ever being pushy. He manages to always be professional but is also a blast to be with – I always walk away from our sessions with a new wine recommendation, a fun restaurant to try out or some other tidbit that makes me look forward to a hard workout. More than anything else, he’s clearly invested in my well-being and success – and what’s not to love about that?!

I’ve been working out with Michael for over a year now and I am totally recommending him to anyone that needs a one on one trainer. I am lazy, self diagnosed ADD, and just not like sweating at all, but Michael has been very patient, attentive, creative with routines, and had me lost major inches and toned up. He listens to what you want and need but totally is NOT a pushover. He has a good work ethic where while your with him, you’re his only focus regardless of how whinny or lazy you get.
